Gymnastics
Jay competed as a world-class gymnast for 18 years, earning honors in the collegiate, national and international ranks. Competing for the University of Iowa from 1992 to 1996, Jay won 2 NCAA Championship Titles, 7 Big Ten Championship Titles, and set records in both the Floor Exercise and the All-Around for Iowa that still hold today. Jay is also a 2-time World Championship Team Member, a Silver Medalist at the 1998 Goodwill Games, and was a contender for the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Teams.

Jay is Co-Owner and Manager of two companies, American Gymnast and J.W. Thornton, LLC. Jay managed the development and launch of two other American Gymnast owned projects that have revolutionized the dissemination of gymnastics information on the internet. Gymnastics on Demand (www.GymnasticsOnDemand.com) is an online gymnastics training system that allows subscribers access to hundreds of gymnastics video tutorials teaching sound gymnastics technique to coaches, gymnasts and judges. GymnastTube (www.GymnastTube.com) is the largest gymnastics-only video sharing community on the web, allowing users to view, search, upload, rate and comment on thousands of gymnastics videos organized by gymnasts for gymnasts.
Building upon his expertise and success in online marketing, Jay founded J.W. Thornton, LLC (http://jwthornton.com), an e-business consultation practice. Jay provides clients with sound and proven online marketing and e-commerce techniques to help them achieve their business and financial goals.
